Balázs worked with the lab on the development of the rpostgisLT package. During two intensive Google Summer of Code projects (2016, 2017) he developed the package with Mathieu Basille, David Bucklin and Clément Calenge.
As a Scientific Software Engineer at the 3D geoinformation research group of the Delft University of Technology, he develops tools and work-flows for geodata management and analysis. Most of the time he is working on the 3D buildings data set of the Netherlands, a standardized 3D data set for noise simulations, and a data format (and related software) for storing 3D city models. He is also a Data Champion at his faculty, where he tries to help his colleagues to streamline their research and make it more reproducible.
Currently living in the Netherlands, he lived and worked in Serbia, Hungary, Germany and Switzerland, while studying and practising as a Landscape Architect. He holds an MSc degree in Geomatics Engineering and also in Landscape Architecture.
